How is “membership” defined? Well, if you were to do a quick search on the internet you come up with various definitions. But basically, Membership is defined as belonging, either individually or collectively, to a group. That’s a pretty vague description, but I think we all have a pretty good understanding of what membership means. However, to be a bit more specific, what does it mean to you if you become a member of World Millwork Alliance (WMA)?
By becoming a member of the WMA, you are joining successful millwork industry professionals consisting of millwork wholesale distributors, manufacturers of products and services, manufacturer representatives, and group purchasing organizations who all recognize the need to be united to support the millwork sector of the building materials supply chain.

WMA is proud that our membership is made up of the industry’s most respected professionals who are engaged, and dedicated to strengthening the millwork industry. We have been the leading voice for the millwork industry for over 50 years and we look forward to continuing our leadership role in the future as well. WMA will keep members posted with industry updates, news briefs, member announcements, product announcements, industry trends, and articles of interest which help keep your business up to date. New and improved Member Programs will provide opportunities for online collaboration through our new interactive Membership Portal where you will be able to connect with WMA Members through Professional & Social Networking; get involved in Group & Committee Forums; and access our robust Members Only pages of our website which will offer countless ways for you to connect, learn, participate, advise, promote, share, engage, and grow!

You will have the opportunities to engage with other millwork industry professionals through numerous networking events set up for interaction between millwork distributors, manufacturers of products & services, and sales representatives. The participation and involvement of industry professionals at WMA events, our WMA website including our interactive Membership Portal, or through our social media platforms ensures Connections That Matter to your business and to your own personal growth. Plus, lifetime relationships are formed which makes your experience as a WMA member all that more enjoyable.
Whether you are in the distribution channel trying to increase your revenue by adding new product lines, or you are in the manufacturing segment trying to showcase your products & services, WMA offers you the opportunity to learn about new products, as well as showcase your products, and develop new relationships through our interactive platforms and events.

Just as important is the united effort to protect our members’ position in the marketplace. As an advocate on behalf of the millwork industry, WMA leverages its affiliation with numerous codes & standards agencies, and the National Association of Wholesale Distributors in Washington, D.C. to ensure the future of the millwork industry.

The opportunity to learn is always prevalent as well no matter what level of experience you currently have in the industry. Whether it is through face to face interaction at one of the WMA events, or through our online education programs, the opportunity is available to improve your millwork knowledge.
There are plenty more benefits available to you as a WMA member. However, at the end of the day, membership in WMA is being part of a powerful force dedicated to improving, growing, and protecting the millwork industry. If you are part of this industry, I invite you to join us, engage, and make CONNECTIONS THAT MATTER to your business!

Make it a great day,
