The city of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada will require zero greenhouse gas emissions from new buildings (both residential and commercial) by 2030, based on a Zero Emissions Building Plan approved July 13 reports Green Tech Media.

The city government is taking the lead by calling for all new city-owned and Vancouver Affordable Housing Agency projects to meet this new requirement starting now.
