Insurance Journal reports that starting August 1st maximum penalties issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will increase by 78 percent.  Penalties have not been raised since 1990 and these adjustments, according to the Department of Labor’s recent announcement, are being made to correspond with inflation.  So the maximum penalty for willful or repeated violations will increase from $70,000 to $124, 709.  Read More >
