Builder reports that an organization by the name of Tiny House Build announced today that the tiny house appendix that was proposed this year to the 2018 Edition of the International Residential Code passed its final round of ICC online voting as reported by the International Code Council yesterday, receiving the required 2/3 majority vote.  According to the organization, a tiny-house-specific appendix, the first of its kind, will be part of the 2018 International Residential Code (IRC), allowing home buyers to receive Certificates of Occupancy for tiny houses built to the requirements of the IRC appendix, should a specific state or local jurisdiction adopt it in the future.
