55 Years of Excellence at the WMA Millwork Convention & Tradeshow

Simpson Door Company

This month, we’re proud to highlight Simpson Door Company, the Associate Member exhibitor  with the highest seniority at the WMA Millwork Convention & Tradeshow. With an incredible  55 years of participation, Simpson Door Company has built a legacy of connection, innovation,  and impact within the millwork industry.

We spoke with Simpson Door Company to reflect on their journey, the changes they’ve seen in  the industry, and their advice for those just starting out as exhibitors. Their dedication to the  WMA community is a testament to the strength of partnerships fostered through this annual  event.

1. What has been the most rewarding aspect of exhibiting at the WMA Millwork Convention & Tradeshow for over 55 years?

Exhibiting at the WMA Millwork Convention & Tradeshow for over 55 years has been incredibly rewarding. Being one of the longest-tenured exhibitors is a point of pride for us, showcasing our dedication and passion for the industry. Networking has played a huge role in our experience. It's not just about presenting our products; it's about the relationships we build. Being able to visit and chat with our current customers face-to-face is invaluable. Those personal connections are what it's all about – fostering relationships and being part of a community that shares the same passion for millwork.

2. How has your approach to exhibiting and connecting with attendees evolved over the years, and what changes in the millwork industry have you observed during your time with WMA?

Over the years, our approach to exhibiting and connecting with attendees has certainly evolved. Technology has played a significant role in this transformation, making it easier to engage with a broader audience and showcase our innovations more effectively. However, the main crux of it will always be the people. Personal connections and face-to-face interactions remain at the heart of what we do. We've observed many changes in the millwork industry during our time with WMA. Everything has changed, and all for the better! The industry continues to evolve, and we appreciate that WMA is always there to help us navigate through these changes. Their support has been invaluable in adapting to new trends and technologies, ensuring we stay ahead in the industry.

3. What advice would you give to new exhibitors on how to make the most of their experience at the WMA Millwork Convention & Tradeshow?

For new exhibitors, my advice is simple: if you're a new brand in the industry, this is the  tradeshow you need. If you have anything new or upcoming, this is the show to get it out to the  world. Participate in everything you can, from educational events to the tradeshow floor

activities. The key is to make sure you participate! Engaging fully in all aspects of the event will  maximize your experience and help you make valuable connections.
