The American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA) is asking stakeholders to contact their respective members of Congress and urge them to sign a bipartisan letter addressed to the EPA, DOE and USDA “in support of biomass energy as a sustainable, responsible, renewable, and economically significant energy source.”  As you know, residue from paper and wood products mills are used to produce energy “that provides significant carbon reducing benefits,” states AF&PA.  To find out more and if you’d like to contact your Congressman/Congresswoman, AF&PA provides you with an online form that you complete to do just that.  To read the letter that was sent from 46 Senators on June 30th, which is the same letter being circulated currently in the House of Representatives, click here.
