The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) reports in its weekly newsletter, What’s New, that the American Wood Council (AWC), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has released the latest version of its deck safety guide, Design for Code Acceptance #6-Prescriptive Residential Deck Construction Guide DCA 6, in an effort to highlight deck safety and code compliance during Building Safety Month, established by another ANSI member and standards developer, the International Code Council (ICC). AWC will be hosting a free webinar on the latest revisions to this guide document. Building Safety Month is celebrated each year during the month of May by jurisdictions around the country and internationally as well. Read More at ANSI.
