Watertown, S.D. — Kyle Schull has been named vice president of supplier relations for Building Products Inc. He is responsible for corporate supplier relationships, a position previously held by Jim Walz, who retired at the end of last year.

Schull brings with him an extensive amount of knowledge and understanding of logistics. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2007 and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was given a military occupational specialty of logistics. He was initially assigned to Okinawa, Japan, where he was involved in numerous Marine and Navy exercises in the South China Sea. Upon returning to the states, Schull then served two tours of duty in Afghanistan. In his third assignment, he was selected for a Congressional fellowship where he served on the staff of congressman Ken Calvert for one year.

Finally, Schull spent the last three years of his military service working at headquarters Marine Corps installations and logistics at the Pentagon. Overall, Schull has spent over 11 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and has attained the rank of Major. Kyle and his wife, Chelsea, just moved from Arlington, Va, to Sioux Falls, S.D., in November.

Schull is now the third generation of family active in the business. Kyle is the son of President & C.E.O., Lee Schull.
