The Millwork industry manufactures wood-based architectural products, including doors, windows and flooring. These reshaped wood products are key components of construction projects. As general construction activity increases, so will demand for millwork. The majority of millwork products are used in residential construction, split evenly between new housing construction and renovations. Additionally, while competition from steel, aluminum, vinyl and other materials is strong for nonresidential construction, sales to this sector still account for a relatively small portion of industry revenue.
