Miriam McCoy, a philanthropist and matriarch of the McCoy family passed away on June 14, 2023. Born in 1924, she met her future husband, Emmet McCoy, in New York City during their teenage years. After marriage, they built a successful roofing business that evolved into McCoy’s Building Supply. Throughout their lives Miriam and Emmet engaged in various philanthropic endeavors, supporting organizations such as the Heritage Association of San Marcos and making significant donations to educational institutions and animal shelters. Miriam’s positive outlook on life, commitment to fitness, and love for her large family will be remembered.
