A group of Senate Democrats is urging the Department of Labor and OSHA to move forward on a federal standard to protect workers exposed to excessive heat. In their letter, dated August 3, to Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, data is cited from the Bureau of Labor Statistics linking exposure to excessive environmental heat to 815 deaths and and 70,000 serious injuries among U.S. workers between 1992 and 2017.

Pre-registration for a name badge is available by completing a WMA Registration Form. Any local Student or Veteran who has pre-registered will pick up their complimentary “Expo – One Day Pass” with a valid student ID or Veteran ID at the WMA registration desk in the Memphis Cook Convention Center.
Veterans must show a Veteran’s Administration (VA) identification card to receive an “Expo-One Day Pass” and to gain entrance into the exhibit hall on Friday, September 14, 2018.
