As reported a couple of weeks ago by NAHB, remodelers who are certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to work on homes that may have lead paint under the Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule now have the option to complete refresher training online for recertification. However, according to the EPA, recertifications that are obtained from online refresher course training is only good for three years, versus five years for hands-on training courses, and can only be taken every other recertification cycle.
